Company Established
As a co-owner of Shade It, a successful custom window covering company, founder Laura Ericson began noticing the potential of permanent LED holiday lights. While she loved the nighttime effects, she saw major room for improvement in their daytime appearance and overall design.

The Idea Becomes a Vision
Frustrated by the lack of attractive, high-quality options on the market, Laura decided to bring her interior design expertise into outdoor lighting. Her goal: create a product that blended seamlessly with architecture, looked elegant by day, and shone brilliantly by night.

X Lights is Born
Designed and manufactured in Canada, X Lights introduced the flushest, lowest-profile light and track system available. Pairing premium low-voltage LEDs with a custom-built, user-friendly app, the brand made it simple to control exterior lighting—from holiday LEDs to decks, landscapes, and hardscapes.
